Deacon Board

The Deacon Board consists of 9-12 members of the church who are elected on staggered three-year terms.  They are one of two ordained officers in the church.  The role of the Deacon is that of service – to minister to the sick, the friendless, and to any who may be in distress, both within and beyond the community of faith. 

They provide service to the Congregation’s material needs in a spiritual way and to the larger community, distributing the church’s bounty to the poor and emergency help to those in need.
